I have a hiatus hernia, i get heartburn and acid reflux at least 5 times a day. my previous doctor prescribed altosec. do i need a prescription and also i am on the keycare plus plan, is an operation better. i can't run without getting nauseous?

GERD: We do not give prescription on this forum or discuss insurance plans. Would call your provider in AM and note you still have reflux. Smoking , alcohol, motrin like products , spicy foods caffeine and chocholate can all exacerbate reflux so avoid those. Can use medication like ranitidine , carafate in conjunction with Altosec
