A member asked:

I had a hysterectomy on september 19. after 6 weeks my incision is bleeding slightly but there is no gaps anywhere. what can be the problem?

Scar/friction bleedi: Although the surgical wound should be healed by now the area remains tender and prone to bleeding if there is any rubbing or friction against the incision. If there is no gaping wound, then it will heal itself. just keep it clean and place a band-aid or a small amount of antibiotic cream in the raw area. If bleeding continues go back to the surgeon who operated on you.
