A member asked:

78yrs fainted had ecg report sinus tachycardia with first degree av block.pr interval was 268ms but other readings were normal should i be concerned ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tachycardia: normal heart rate is 60-100 bpm. Persistent ongoing tachycardia requires ongoing cardiology and metabolic evaluation and possibly medication to regulate heart rate. The first degree AV block is not dangerous; however the rste requires more evaluation including a 24 heart monitor and echocardiogram.
