You need to avoid energy drinks and caffeine as much as possible to avoid increasing your already fast heart rate. There can be many reasons for a fast resting heart beat including but not limited to discomfort, fever, anxiety, low oxygen levels, blood clots in the lungs, etc. A thorough evaluation by a cardiologist and perhaps pulmonologist would be needed to diagnose your tachycardia.
