I suffer from migraines, but my last 3 episodes have developed into droopy eyelid on the side i have the headache. eyelid restores to normal in hours (around 9hrs). would that be the result of a more severe migraine?

Likely not migraines: There's a fair chance that your "migraine" headaches are actually cluster headaches. The treatment of cluster headaches is somewhat different from migraines. You need to find an astute clinician who can confirm or rule out the diagnosis.

Cluster Headache?: Maybe you should see a neurologist, because a droopy eyelid may be a symptom of cluster headache, not migraines.
