Tonsillectomy: Minimal risk. The coblation technique make the procedure safer and less painful. 2006 article from Royal College of Surgeons, Australia showed a significant improvement in post op pain on days 1 to 4. However, after day 4 the pain scale was the same from either traditional or coblation technique.
