Which is the best circumcision procedure and not pain full?

They all hurt some: Circumcision is unnecessary if normal, adequate hygiene is done. Boys are born complete, finished, and perfectly fine (except for the few unlucky ones with birth defects). Circumcisions are done for religious and cultural reasons, but the procedure does permanently change the genitals, so parents should think about it and talk about it before doing anything to their normal little boys.

Some basics: Circs were performed for decades without pain management beyond some sugar water. Today the common approach uses a nerve block with anesthetic injected near the main penile nerve along with the sugar water. Some may use a topical anesthetic cream applied 30 min before, but I find that less effective. In trained hands the procedure takes 5 min although the prep & set up takes much longer.
