I have chronic asthma i've been coughing for the past two weeks. i use symbicord 160 4.5 inhaler. my chest feels like its heavy and is very painful from coughing. what can i use or do?

See your doctor: You & your doc should write out an action plan that allows you to increase/decrease the type or frequency of med use based on your symptoms. Another good measure includes a peak flow meter with parameters set so you know problems are coming before they do. This is not something you handle on line.

A consult : A virtual consult may be helpful to you and your physician. The use of your inhalers, possible triggers and testing may be ordered at that time. I would advise being seen by a physician soon. Use Albuterol MDI with a spacer to quickly relieve symptoms, maximum 8 puffs per day.
