Context needed: MRI’ s of the brain are usually ordered in specific context, mostly to look for changes. Preliminary results are usually reported as such, respectively nothing new with no mention of chronic changes. I would suggest have the test reviewed with ordering physician.

Hi! I had an MRI. Internal auditory canals symmetric w/o focal widening or erosion. No enhancing masses are seen in the canals or cerebellar pontine angle cisterns. Cranial nerves 7 &8 well demonstrated in canals. Does this rule out acoustic neuroma?
