A member asked:

Hi! i had an mri. internal auditory canals symmetric w/o focal widening or erosion. no enhancing masses are seen in the canals or cerebellar pontine angle cisterns. cranial nerves 7 &8 well demonstrated in canals. does this rule out acoustic neuroma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Reassuring: The MRI was read as not showing any signs of acoustic neuroma. Since you seem skeptical, have the radiologist show you the films and explain the findings, as this could indeed be very reassuring.
