Recently had 2 failed attemptan at endometrial biopsies for heavy periods so they pelvic ultrasound and now they wanna do mri why ? pap was normal

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MRI: would help find a benign condition called adenomyosis. This is misplaced uterine lining tissue surrounded by uterine muscle. If you have uterine lining thickening then you may need a dilation/curettage to sample the tissue of the uterine lining, or possibly a hysteroscope to look at and sample the lining.
