Can you guys tell me how big does a lung tumor have to get for doctors to do anything?

See below: Lung nodules are easier to evaluate when they are 1 cm or bigger, at which time we can evaluate them by biopsy or by pet. When the lung lesion is known to be cancerous, management depends on if it has spread elsewhere & if surgery would be indicated/possible.
