Need full story: I can't address your weight loss but it would be unusual for lung cancer to cause such weight loss and you are alive without obvious cancer at 2 years. If the "tumor" is 3 mm and the radiologist thinks it is an old granuloma, then you can ignore it. Please ask your physician about help stopping smoking.

See below: If your doc and the radiologist know you have a 3 mm tumor and have said it is ok it really is ok. Docs are generally very conservative and aggressive when evaluating things. We only say it is ok when we really mean it. For your peace of mind, read the radiologists report. On the other hand... Quit smoking so you don't have to worry so much.

If 3 mm not 3 cm,: Your chest is not the issue. However, smoking 2ppd and 60 pound weight loss signal something needing explanation. Smoking causes heart and lung diseases, and cancers of head and neck, kidney, bladder, esophagus, pancreas. You still need a good internist and smoking cessation program if you value your life.
