It depends...: ...on antibiotic sensitivity, which is determined by laboratory tests separately for every individual infection. E. gallinarum tends to be resistant to many common antibiotics, including vancomycin, often used for serious infections, but usually can be treated with linazolid or daptomycin. Nitrofurantoin works well, but only for mild urinary tract infections.
