Listen to your Dr.: website medlineplus.gov/druginfo/meds/a682004.html#how gives directions for use. You can also discuss with a pharmacist. The awebsite says to open the capsule dissolve in water in a spoon & swallow promptly. I would also think that taking it with it sprinkled on apple sauce should work. Remember this is important to take to get the best treatment. Medication will not work staying in the bottle
