A member asked:

I've been on a ppi for many months but i still have belching, regurgitating food, and a swollen throat. i always feel like i'm swallowing rocks and have a lump under my adam's apple. why isn't it working?

Examination: PPI's relieve gerd but often aren't effective for bile reflux or laryngopharyngeal reflux. If feel that your throat symptoms are paramount, consult an otolaryngologist. If not see a gastroenterologist for evaluation and advice.
