A member asked:

What should a pulse rate be for a 58 year old male with 2 stents in his lad artery...i have no high blood pressure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulse rate: Heart rate is affected by some medications like beta blockers, diltiazem or verapamil all of which slow the rate and 50's or 60's are not uncommon. To answer your question we would have to know all your medications. The normal resting heart rates for healthy People are anywhere from 55 to 90/ min with 72 an average.
