Normal vitals age 22: Are you an athlete? Athletes tend to have a lower resting pulse rate because their heart is more efficient at pumping blood. In looking at your blood pressure, the systolic (upper number) is borderline. This is the pressure in your arteries when you heart is pumping. The diastolic number is normal, that's the lower number when the heart is at rest. See your doctor to be sure.
