A member asked:

72 year wom.xray showd enlarged heart shadows.faint reticunodular opacities.hemoglbin is 109. hematocrite and rbc slightly less than lower end.how bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not too bad, but: not good either. A hemoglobin of 109 suggests anemia and needs to be evaluated. Large heart and shadows in the lung may suggest heart failure and the two may be related, It would be prudent to see your doctor as all of these things could be readily treatable.
