54 yr f has menopause since 4 yrs ago.. recently started spotting & u/s showed fibroids. why would they cause spotting? whats the treatment for them

Residual hormone: production, by conversion from androgens to weak estrogens, can be the culprit. Sampling of the uterine lining by office biopsy, hysteroscope, or D&C is useful. Sometimes treatment with oral progesterone to counter the weak estrogen is useful.
