Reaction: I feel it's important to have a precise diagnosis of such a facial reaction so that it's properly diagnosed and treated. Possibilities include contact dermatitis or herpes simplex eruption. Examination is needed by your MD or dermatologist. The burning sensation in the eyes may be part of the reaction or be caused by limited blinking while asleep.
