Cholesterol: I presume you are referring to high density lipoprotein cholesterol or hdl, which is the molecule that MAP bed cholesterol away from the arteries back to the liver thus called "good" cholesterol. Low density lipoprotein orldl is the "bad" cholesterol that can inflow into the lining of the artery to form atherosclerotic plaque.
