Time for eval: Any kid with breathing difficulty to the point it interferes with feeding or play should be evaluated for treatable illness. Kids don't have heart attacks but they can go into respiratory failure during illness. Arrange a visit now.

Test for COVID-19, keep vaccinations current and please see acute care. He may have an infection or asthma as possible causes. Did he choke on any foods or liquids? Is there a fever? Keep your son well hydrated, monitor temperature and breathing.
