43 years old lady recovering from pneumonia feels better on 4th out of 5 days of antibiotics course but still gets some cough and breathing problem. will using nebulizer going forward just with saline be helpful towards full recovery?

If the patient is improving, complete the course of antibiotic as prescribed. Cough may take 2 weeks to resolve, but if worsening or lingering longer than 3 weeks, further evaluation is indicated. Use nasal saline to reduce post nasal drip. A saline neb may help with clearance of secretions, but usually not necessary. Watch for shortness of breath, wheezing and fever.
