How can i soothe my three year old son's cough after anesthesia? docs say it's from the breathing tube they had to put down his throat.

Treaat his symptoms: Make sure he's taking plenty of fluids, run a humidifier in his room to add moisture to his environment, try some honey and lemon or just a teaspoon of honey alone. That seems to coat the throat and provides some symptomatic relief. Over the counter cough suppressants are ineffective and probably should be avoided.

Popsicles!: Popsicles! It's a temporary situation that will quickly pass. Like sore throat for anyone, Tylenol, (acetaminophen) Popsicles and time. He is too young for throat lozenges, it's a choking hazard.
