Good day. my 2 month old has chicken pox. he got it from his brother who is 2 years old. what can i do? should i take him to a pediatrician?

Yes: Watch for lesions that are fluid filled,fever, cough and poor feeding. Encourage feeding, continue to nurse and cover the baby’s hands with cotton socks to avoid scratching and secondary infection. Monitor temperature and please see your pediatrician.

Contact doc first: Your doc may want to avoid exposing other kids being exposed so contacting him/her beforehand is a good idea. Kids at 2 months tend to do well on supportive care, keeping the skin clean & monitoring the sores .
