Avoid contact: Even if a woman has had chicken pox, she should avoid exposure to that virus when pregnant. She should not be the one taking care of the sick child.

Varicella: Probably not. If your wife received the two shots of the vaccine it is highly likely that she is immune to chickenpox, although anything is possible, even when highly improbable. Good luck with your new baby
