I was told by my doctor today that i has outherear infection, that is causing my tinitus and lightheadness. but i have no pain. ho can it not be pain?

Symptoms?: Middle ear infections(Om) can cause tinnitus/lightheadedness but usually not outer ear (OE).However,sometimes a middle ear infection with perforation can can an outer ear infection & once the perforation occurs there may be little or no pain.Viral infection of the Middle ear may cause the tinitus/lightheadedness.Without looking at it &she/he is looking at it &may have just got backwards speaking
