I assume : this blunting was found on a chest x-ray. Why was x-ray done? Do you have symptoms? What are they? A CTR over .5 suggests an enlarged cardiac silhouette but is overestimated with a pleural effusion which could cause blunting of the costophrenic angle. i assume you received this info from your doctor so best to get your advice from him/her.
