Had a cbc and my platelet count was 253 (normal is 140-400). dr said hard to find vein so maybe i was a little dehydrated. does dehydration falsely raise platelet count by a lot? if so, how much? what would my platelet # be if i was better hydrated?

Hard to say: The easiest to say is that it can cause an inaccurate platelet count as well as hemaglobin.As far as platelets it can cause them to be high or low ,make the platelets more sticky
