A member asked:

Can wbc change due to dehydration? i had a cmp and cbc months ago. i was dehydrated, so some results for cmp were high (e.g., sodium) but normal for cbc. now i took them again and everything is within notmal range. wbc is normal too but a lot lower?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, do not fret about minor variations. Wish you good health!
