Why would a fibroadenoma require followup magnified mammogram and ultrasound 6 months after diagnosis if can't become malignant?
My latest mammogram was negative except for long-standing fibroadenoma RHS which was unchanged. Ultrasound of right Axillary showed focal cortical thickening up to 4 mm. They will rescan in six weeks. Should I be worried?

I began feeling pain on upper part of right breast 1 wk after mammogram (part of APE), No lump. It aches when being touched downward. Mammogram test says extremely dense breasts with nodularities. Shud I worry? W/ previous surgery w/ fibroadenoma?
