Maybe a baby tooth : In my experience, most of the time the child or parent mistaket a baby tooth for a permanent tooth. You can take a photo send to your child's dentist, the dentist will be able to tell.

Dental pain/mobility: Can indicate dental abscess, fractured tooth, insufficient room for permanent tooth to erupt, gum infection, para functional habit, fractured tooth-housing bone, and a whole raft of other possibilities. Absolutely call your child's Dentist. The sooner your child can be made pain-free, the better. The Dentist, who knows your child best, will advise you as to what to do next.
