Temp. Crown : It is not uncommon to have minor discomfort after a crown procedure. It is also not uncommon to wear a temp. For 10 days or longer. If you have more concerns i would contact the dentist that did the work, and ask them the specific questions. Dentists usually place a temporary on a crown preparation. I would contact your dentist directly.

Unusual: Dentists usually fabricate temporary crown to protect the tooth, guide shape of gums, and prevent other teeth from shifting. Your dentist must have reason why temporary wasn't fabricated. Ask why.

Not the standard: Temp crowns help prevent tooth shifting, promote gum health, protect the tooth, help maintain function, and reduce sensitivity.
