Hard to say: Could be a broken filling, a chipped tooth, or even a tooth that shifted. Why is it that you see your dentist every six weeks?

6 weeks?: Did you mean every 6 months? A lot can happen in 6 months. Cauldron be from damage to the tooth (cavity, fracture), food impaction, failure to floss, improper brushing technique, malocclusion, or many other reasons. Any swelling, bleeding, or as in your case pain, should be immediately investigated. Please call your Dentist and schedule an appointment for as soon as possible.
