Swollen tonsils for a month. took amoxicillin and fixed it. missed one dose near the end. few days after tonsils were swollen again. what could it be?

Incomplete treatment: I am assuming that the symptoms resolved after doing the antibiotics and then returned.Either incomplete treatment or new infection.However,sometimes can have strept infection along with Mono infection at the same time.
