Culture: Have you had a culture of your throat? It appears that you may be being treated blindly. An antifungal is rarely given for a sore throat, unless there is positive culture evidence of a fungal infection. Furthermore, amoxacillin may not destroy as much as 50% of NTHI (a bacteria very commonly causing bacterial tonsillitis. In summary, unless you know the cause of the discomfort is, Rx's a guess
