Question unclear: There is no question posted here, but merely a statement. Please start over and post a question. In general, a woman can ask her doctor to describe any additional tests that are needed, and to discuss what "intermediate risk" numbers mean. For example, if there is a 1/300 chance of DS, that means 299 out of 300 babies are expected to NOT have Down Syndrome.

The basics: Cheaper screening tests like you had select out those at higher risk than expected for their age. At 37 yours would be 1/270. The NIPt is a definitive test that will find fetal cells that circulate in your blood, test the babies chromosomes & see if they or normal or not. A high level scan can look for fetal anomalies that accompany DS or other disorders. Some people would want to know.
