I don't think so: Not many years ago levels up to 240 were considered normal. Few doctors realize that chol. does NOT cause heart disease; the real cause is inflammation of our arteries. Lowering chol. may do more harm than good. As we age those with higher chol. levels live longer with less heart disease and strokes than those with low levels!
