More information: needed... did you have a reaction from taking a "statin" drug...if so it will stop in a few weeks tops!!!!!! If you needed the drug in the first place you will probably need another attempt with another "statin" (YES just because you had a reaction to one statin does NOT mean you will with another chemically different drug! Hope this helps Dr Z

It may take weeks: to months. Just make sure you are eating healthy. You could consider an over the counter supplement for CoQ10, but honestly, it if truly was statin related(the most common cholesterol medication that does this) then stopping the medication is most important.

Statin adversity: Interestingly, the original application for statin approval in the US included Co Q 10 as a combined med ! FDA would not approve because Co Q10 is a nutrient. Still, all statins reduce muscle Co Q10, not just in skeletal muscles but in myocardium as well. Stopping the statin is important when its adversity mounts but taking hi quality Co Q10 is truly beneficial too. Dietary meat helps a bit.
