Pain control: Comfort care , no cure available. Hospice programs are very helpful. Poor prognosis.

Not so good: Stage IV lung cancer with diffuse metastases is a difficult disease to treat with short survival times. Would suggest a consultation with radiation oncology. The pain in the spine can be due to bone metastases which can be treated with radiation successfully to be pain free.
