Quite often: One of the most common causes of chest pain is gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn). With chest pain the other etiologies include cardiac, musculoskeletal, and sometimes lung. There are medications for relief of heartburn and prevent serious changes in the esophagus such as esophagitis and stricture.See your physician to verify cause of symptoms.
