Be cautious : Be aware that supplements are not regulated like pharmacy made meds. The FDA does not get involved in their review unless a specific product has injured patients. Research has shown many do not contain what they say or have other material that may be a problem. If you find supplements certified by USP or other independent lab they are likely what they say. Safety during pregnancy is often unknown.

Agree with Dr. F: Most "natural" remedies have not been studied enough and often have contaminants. For the sake of your and your baby's health you should be under the care of a doctor and should discuss the matter with her/him.
