Laxative: abuse has many adverse effects but it is not a factor in the development of inflammatory bowel disease or Polyps. Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

I had four colon polyps removed, one was 15mm and causing bleeding in stool. I was told I didnt has ibs/chrons/colitis. What caused these polyps then?
Sigmoid polyp removed in colonoscopy. Got 2nd gi's opinion + 2nd scope 3 months later. He saw colitis in sigmoid, but biopsies normal. Both gis diagnosis me w ibs. How am i still bleeding and having fevers?
P-Anca results high and IBS-D issues alleviated by Cholestrayamine. Colonoscopies every 1-3 years for colon polyps removals since age 30. Only abnormal colon biopsy results have been lymphocytic colitis and an colon adenoma. No UC dx? Ideas?
