A member asked:

How does hpv cause urethritis? a urologist said a wart would have to be present in the urethra is this accurate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes...however: Then genital wart strains can hide within the urethra & an endoscopic exam may identify its presence. However, those many genital HPV strains that do not produce warts also usually do not produce ANY symptoms in men with a normal immune systems. If you have a urethritis it is most likely not HPV.
