Yes...however: Then genital wart strains can hide within the urethra & an endoscopic exam may identify its presence. However, those many genital HPV strains that do not produce warts also usually do not produce ANY symptoms in men with a normal immune systems. If you have a urethritis it is most likely not HPV.
