Rejected stool : Discuss with your doctor who should take it up with the lab . Even soft stool can contain pathologic bacteria.

Depends: It depends on why the stool was being tested. If you were being tested for a cause of diarrhea, a non-liquid stool would not be an appropriate specimen.
