Yes: Yes nearly 100% of the time the specimens will be sent to doctor, a pathologist, to look at under the microscope to confirm that the fibroids are benign. Typically this exam can take a few days, even a week or two. Call your doctor for results if you haven't heard in 10 days to 2 weeks. Best of luck.
