Possible but unlike: Estimation of GFR (eGFR) is made from serum creatinine level, whose value rises only when glomerular filtration drops by 30-40%. Therefore, decreased eGFR is unlikely from dehydration unless the degree of thereof is severe.

See below: GFR is the rate at which blood is filtered by the kidneys each minute. The estimated GFR (eGFR) is based on serum creatinine and one’s weight, age, gender, and race. Dehydration is a common cause of both a rise in serum creatinine rise and a drop in the eGFR with the degree of change related to many factors. Both the elderly and those with underlying chronic kidney disease are more susceptible.

Unlikely: Agree with Dr. P. Dehydration is an unlikely explanation for low eGFR.
