A member asked:

Blood test egfr (fasting for 12 hours) came back as 86 today, but kidney ultrasound and urine test 2 months ago were totally normal. is there any reason to be concerned about this egfr level? could it be due to dehydration?

See below: 86 is not meaningfully different from 90. You may wish to get tested in 6 months or so. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/. Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!
