Not diagnostic : CRP (C-reactive protein) is a protein that is increased in diseases in which there is inflammation. A slightly increased level of CRP is compatible with both sLE and RA, but is NOT diagnostic of either. Furthermore, there are many other causes of such a small elevation of CRP.
